TRUTH IS THERE, THEN DEMOCRACY IS ALSO THERE

All those who do take part in electoral process do not necessarily practice democratic norms. In India one of the most sad truth is that even Indian citizenry is , in large amount not believe in democracy and its value system. Taking part in voting is one thing and working for democracy and aspiring for the same is other thing. In today's India if leaders dare to skip essential.questions of public interests they are able to do so only because the Indian citizenry fails to hold them accountable for mistreatment of common people, people of alternate faith and opinion, misrule and misgovernence and misconduct. If Rafael, Adani, Manipur, riots, ethnic clashes , bad civic amenities, oppressed civil rights, sinking economy, fractured social structure, hate crimes and fake news and such type of other misdeeds can't become hot topics for elections then who should be held accountable ? No one can take arguments for lack of information in modern times. Entire upper class and middle class have internet in their palms, many lower class people have also reach to internet. You are still free to know what you want to know with the help of readily available internet but  only a small part of the Indian Citizenry wish to spend time and labour in search of information. Those who do not wish to fight for their own cause are engaged with hate activities and fake news through internet whereas compassionate stories and true news are also there but for such people only one brand of information are  the recipe rich cooked news  are reliable source of information. We Indians fail to understand that right to free speech can only be used if this right is preceded by the obligation to be rightly and truthfully informed. But blind faith on cooked news is so deep rooted that propaganda are advertised and hugged as true information. It is said that interest of the nation is proceeded by allegiance to a leader. Dissent and truth  are treated as blasphemy. When in a democracy truth is equated with blasphemy and  people go to the extent of sacrificing common good for some leader's private  good then ideals of democracy are just ritualistic. In fact voting for that leader can not allow democracy to emancipate herself. 

      This era of spates of information is marked with lack of truth. Democracy thrives when truth rules. But when information is made synonymous to truth, at the receiving end people are bound to confuse. In a state of chaos of confusion democracy is hard to be sustained. We need truth more than leaders. Our democracy is full of falsehood and the only way to make people capable of taking some informed decision is to educate the citizens but before this educators -leaders and media channels must prove themselves to be truthful; they must Commons respect and trust of common people. Saving democracy in the age of propagandist media it's not an going to be a cat walk. First be consistent with truth then dream for establishing glory of democracy.
