Today’s world is characterized by its multidimensionality. One facet includes authoritarian rulers who operate independently of religious dogmatism, exemplified by China. Conversely, there are authoritarian leaders who are dogmatically intolerant, such as those in Iran, Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Israel. A third category of authoritarian leaders, like those in Russia, Africa, and South America, are not opposed to leveraging religion, but their despotism does not rely on religious approval.

On a less severe note, there are conservatives, rightists, and far-rightists emerging in Europe and America. They are achieving electoral success through both fair and unfair means, as seen in Turkey, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, and Argentina. Countries like India and Bangladesh fall in the same category. In some regions, like France and the US, these types of leaders are on the verge of gaining power through public support. Countries like India and Bangladesh are in a similar situation.

There are a few exceptions that lean towards liberalism, such as the US, Brazil, Poland, Britain, Germany, France, and other European nations, as well as Canada. However, even in these countries, the ruling parties or coalitions do not adhere to classical liberalism. Some countries, like Colombia, have strong leftist movements.

In this context, the significant casualties are globalization, unrestricted international trade, both legal and illegal immigration, and most importantly, lasting peace. The rise of national politics is leading to a contraction in the dissemination of knowledge, wealth and income distribution, and ultimately, an increase in conflicts and wars worldwide. During times of conflict and war, the ascension of national politics and the proliferation of hate and fake news are commonplace. Therefore, the outlook for the coming years appears grim.   As we look towards the future, the outlook appears challenging. The rise of authoritarianism, conservatism, and nationalism poses significant threats to global stability, economic prosperity, and international cooperation. Addressing these challenges will require concerted efforts to promote democratic values, foster dialogue and understanding, and uphold the principles of human rights and social justice. Only through such efforts can we hope to navigate the complexities of our multidimensional world and build a more just and equitable future for all.
